Dublin City Triathlon – A race report

I guess most good races should be written up on our club web site, so when James asked me to do a report at the end of the DCT on Sunday I did not hesitate in saying yes ! I last did DCT way back in 2006, when transition was on the Chapelizod Rd, the bike route was a little short and the swim was the same as ever.

Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES)

This may interest some of the club members.

The only difficult part is no exercise for 72 hours before each of the 3 sessions. This may suite some more than others. You know who you are. :-)

Open Water Season - week 13 Fri Sept 3rd Bull wall @ 7.00

With tides and racing making things harder to schedule a swim session these days - next swim is scheduled for the Bull wall in .... September ... shocking that the summer has gone so quickly to be honest.

Pre race analyise of Dublin City Triathlon

This weekend’s big race, Dublin City Tri, is turning out to be a sizzler of a season finale for most. With over 30 3D heads expected to be clad in clubs colours, well most (Funny things happen to the colour when its washed loads and loads and once with a oily T Shirt). Here is your pre race filler, for the final season battles, the mini battles and the new battles expected to develop.

Photographs of 2010

If like me you won't be winning any awards for your race times, don't despair! This year’s awards night has something for everyone with an award for the best photograph of 2010 up for grabs. So if you've taken some photographs at races or club outings during the year send them along to me walsh.em@gmail.com

Metalman Triathlon - Tramore: A Bad start and a good ending !

A late start to the season for me following injury meant my first race was Skerries Sprint in late June. I was spending most of my weekends of the summer with the family in Wexford, so races closeby were my targets. TriKilkenny followed by Tri795 Bunclody a few weeks back and on Sat last I made the trip to Tramore for the Metalman Sprint Tri run by Spokes Cycle Store.
